Freemodel Staff Speaks Vol. I
Sep 29

Our internal Freemodel staff is often busy clicking away on our computers doing exciting work behind the scenes and helping to ensure that all aspects of the business are running smoothly. While we may not be on the front-lines managing beautiful home renovations, we thought it would be fun to add some new voices to the blog and occasionally share quick, interesting takes on home design and all things real estate! This week we will be hearing from Cheryl Hughes (Executive Assistant), Ann Townsager (Head of Marketing), Tina Flores-Lardizabal (Growth Marketing), Megan Harris (Project Director Success), and myself (Content Marketing). Let’s take a look:

Artist: Joe Mortell
What is a design trend that you hope will never go out of style?
Cheryl: Spa bathrooms
Ann: Eco-focused/green design! Not only sustainably sourced materials, but high quality/lasting furniture so people aren't just buying "fast fashion" furniture that will end up in a landfill.
Tina: Mosaic tiles
Megan: Indoor/outdoor living and houseplants everywhere(!)
Mackenzie: Vintage accents. I feel like these can tell a story in a room and make for interesting conversation pieces. They’re also stylishly sustainable since authentic pieces are all repurposed!

You live in a mystical home with inflatable furniture, carpeted bathrooms, beaded curtains, and a conversation pit. You can only eliminate one element, which would it be and why?
Cheryl: Carpeted bathroom. Why was that ever a thing? So damp and gross!
Ann: Yuck - carpeted bathroom, no hesitation! Why? Isn't it obvious??
Tina: inflatable furniture, can’t see how this is stylish and comfortable, plus animal claws will pop it.
Megan: Carpeted bathrooms - constant soggy socks, ick!
Mackenzie: I actually dream about a home that INCLUDES inflatable furniture, beaded curtains, and a conversation pit. But no carpeted bathrooms for me.
