“I love making people happy and I’m fascinated how space affects moods. I've had clients brought to tears of joy seeing their homes transformed, and I sniffle right along with them!”
Like many designers, my story starts at a tender age. My childhood bedroom was splashed with rainbows, the ceiling painted a brilliant blue full of cottony clouds. I got an unusual thrill rearranging furniture and agreed with my mom’s frustration over lacking counter space. Some of my fondest memories are of weekends spent sneaking into half-constructed homes (ssh!) and taking trips to the hardware store with my dad.
In my professional career, I have more than 15 years of experience as an interior designer and project manager. I specialize in kitchen and bath remodels, color consulting, small space planning, and creative tile design. I’m known for my deep commitment to specifying materials that meet the highest standards for their environmental, human health and social justice impacts. I have written and taught core curriculum on this topic in the Interior Design and Interior Architecture Department of UC Berkeley Extension, my design alma mater.
I handle the challenges of cabinet math, construction glitches, and choosing the right shade of white paint with equal aplomb. I’m thrilled to be working with Freemodel to breathe new life into old homes. When I’m not making the world more beautiful and functional, you can find me hiking, dancing, or on the yoga mat.
